Get a load of me get a load of you...

Okay, I am feeling like I ought to be doing something more productive this evening.  I am just so darn tired!

So I knew on Monday that Fountains of Wayne hadn't been nominated for any VMA's.  The thing is that timing wise they may have missed the boat.  I forget what the actual rules are, but "Stacy's Mom" was getting played back in August of last year.  It was actually gaining momentum right around the 2003 VMA's.

Timing is everthing, just like the Oscars and hence the strategy applied by film studios where by they re-release film and push like crazy right before the nominations go out and all during the voting process.

But anyway,  they are part of the Viewer's Choice category which this year is one big cluster f' of videos duking it out.

They are up against Britney's "Toxic".  I have to say that I actually love that video AND I love the song.   It was the song I most frequently requested at clubs last year.  Mostly 'cause we girls like to dance to it, but as much as I love "Toxic" I have a "toxic" relationship with Fountains and thus I just voted for them over and over and over again.  Now I know who Loki's going to vote for (she's got a crush on Britney)...but how about you?
