New Year's Eve and it's hard to believe
another zodiac has gone around.

While you drank yourself high on hoping
and watched the ceiling spin from the ground.

Counting down from ten it's time
to make your annual prayer.

Secret santa in the sky
when will I get my share?

Then you tell yourself
what you want to hear.

Cause you have to believe.

This will be my year.

This will be my year...Semisonic

Just a reminder...this afternoon I am flying off to LA LA Land. While I am certain that I will have mucho drama and tres bien intrigue to share when I return...alas you will need to wait until my return.

That is unless I actually use a computer in the LA off to update this. No shoulder breaking laptop lugging for me. (That's what my books, magazines and misc. distractions are for).

On another not a wee bit of Fountains of Wayne catching up.

Last Saturday I heard "Hey Julie" on the radio for the first time. It was on some sort of B level Philly station. Gilly and I were in the car and it kept crackling in and out. It's always such a pleasant surprise to hear them on the radio. It's like getting an email from an old friend whose address you lost.

Secondly, they are playing at a casino in Atlantic City. I was all ready to purchase tickets until I realized what the deal is. It's a two day festival. They are playing the one where "The Darkeness" is headlining and get this...it's a $150 ticket! $150!!! I don't do festivals (too much bad music, sun, drunk people and frat boys) and I certainly wouldn't pay $150 to hang out in Atlantic city to experience that sort of thing. I didn't go see them the last time they played Atlantic City (in the fall with Matchbox 20)...similar reasons too high a price and well, I've seen Matchbox 20 twice. There's no need to go there again.
