New Year's Eve and it's hard to believe
another zodiac has gone around.

While you drank yourself high on hoping
and watched the ceiling spin from the ground.

Counting down from ten it's time
to make your annual prayer.

Secret santa in the sky
when will I get my share?

Then you tell yourself
what you want to hear.

Cause you have to believe.

This will be my year.

This will be my year...Semisonic

Hi there!

My day started very interestingly. I found the following two voicemails in my in my in box.

Let me provide a bit of commentary. The first clip goes silent in the middle because I lowered the sound as not to share this the callers phone number. However, I did do a reverse look up on the web and verified that that lovely accent is indeed via Philly.

Let me take this moment to provide a few tips regarding lodging a viewer complaint:

1. First it's very important that you get your facts straight. Be sure to know the actual name of the show you are complaining about. When I emailed Discovery to complain about how I found their show on Ellis Island severely lacking in facts, I checked their website to verify the name. Facts are very important. This lady used the name of a show that does not appear on my channel.

2. When making any phone call as a "concerned citizen" it's very important not to have screaming children in the background. Screaming children = child neglect = a lack of credibility = the listener ceases to be concerned with your complaint.

3. Don't use vulgarities. If you feel passionate enough to do so (and this is extremely discouraged) have the decency to stop at shit. Do not pass fuck. Enough said.

4. Make it short and sweet and under no circumstances call back. Doing so will earn you a one way upgrade to stalker.

SUGGESTIONS:

See number four above.

YES, I forwarded the call the appropriate people. Though I must add, that a. body painting is art and b. those kids are "competing" for money. Just like strippers they are doing something that other people might find degrading. Heck, they may even find it degrading themselves but they choose to do it. They are under no circumstances forced to do so. And don't use the "well they are compelled to do it for money" argument with me. They are playing for a big reward/fast money (see stripping) if their morals were different they'd quit and try to earn money the old fashioned way, through hard work (or again see stripping) and if their self esteem was higher they wouldn't even be trying to become famous via reality television.

Oh, yeah and then we had a meeting at 2PM and found out that a bunch of our co-workers were laid off. Have a happy Monday!
