New Year's Eve and it's hard to believe
another zodiac has gone around.

While you drank yourself high on hoping
and watched the ceiling spin from the ground.

Counting down from ten it's time
to make your annual prayer.

Secret santa in the sky
when will I get my share?

Then you tell yourself
what you want to hear.

Cause you have to believe.

This will be my year.

This will be my year...Semisonic

Okay, here's the scoop. There's a new Fountains of Wayne t-shirt in the house. It's bright pink and it says in the cutest little font "STACY WHO?" smack dab across my chest.

The good ole' "LEAVE THE BIKER" shirt is waiting in the wings and I am still contemplating what to wear.

I have heard rumors that the two opening acts thing may be an East Coast thing not a universal thing. Must I emphasize how much it irritates me when the headliner goes on at 11:30P??? Which is kind of normal in these parts? Well apparently Chicago hasn't bought fully into this devastating trend, because one of my friends was quite surprised to hear it's the norm here. Then again he also said he shows up late and always pushes his way to the front so who knows what he's missing? Hisssssss...

Also, good to note...I am illergic to chemical deplatories. Last night I smeared some on my shin and the burning sensation forced me to immediately wash it off. Now I have some sort of low grade chemical burn which thankfully is not visible to the naked eye since my shins are naked today. A similar thing happened to me before I went to Puerto Rico...under my arms. ICK UGH. But that skin is much more sensitive than my shins, yes?

Such is life...no more pretending to the be one of the girls in the "We wear short shorts" commercial because I can't honestly sing "Nair for short shorts..." It "Nair for stinging burning chemical burns..." in my head.

On another note, considering that the first time I saw Fountains of Wayne was when they opened for the Lemonheads at the Roseland in 1996 somehow I am wondering if fate might dictate that this should be my last show ever.

It would make for a tidy conclusion now wouldn't it?
