New Year's Eve and it's hard to believe
another zodiac has gone around.

While you drank yourself high on hoping
and watched the ceiling spin from the ground.

Counting down from ten it's time
to make your annual prayer.

Secret santa in the sky
when will I get my share?

Then you tell yourself
what you want to hear.

Cause you have to believe.

This will be my year.

This will be my year...Semisonic

Okay, I haven't been MIA. Has it only been a day? I have all sorts of stuff going on this side of the keyboard.

Basically one of my major projects is peaking meaning that 17 winners are in the city with their guests (34 warm bodies total)...and well, I've coordinated this whole "Training" so that they'll be prepared to be News Correspondents for the election, etc...etc...etc...

The youngest is 15 and well...I am so very very old around them. But since everyone under the age of 18 had to bring a guardian and well since apparently only the moms travel...it's all been very amusing and unlike most of my events there's no booze involved so well it's very straight edge (is that supposed to be one word)??? I don't know I went to bed WAY too late after two Diet Cokes, one orange juice, one pack of Mini Oreos and one pack of chocolate chip cookies for dinner.

They even had a P Diddy incident involving a snapped picture, the confiscation of a disposable camera and the peeling off of a $20 bill from a very large wad of cash as a compensation for the lost memories...I stayed up way to late talking to young adults for College Station, Texas in the very same bar where I interviewed Adam from Fountains of Wayne last summer.

Trainings today involved some very talented people here plus two hours of straight face to face chatting wth one of our on air news folks of the female persuasion.

I've bonded with one winner over music and she had better watch out or I might take her under my wing and help her get a job someday. Is that good for her? Am I living vicariously through an 18 year old?

I have to go to dinner with AC now 'cause I am staying in the city again tonight and I might as well get some quality time with a friend.

To sum it up the past two days...Do you know how tiring it is to have intelligent winners? VERY. Lots of educational guidance counselor kind of conversations.

I am really in my element. This what makes my job worth living, because this job is certainly a life.

Oh yeah and I forgot the Cracker Jack...I ate a handful of Cracker Jack...this post is like most of what came out of my mouth when I was in high school...rambling and riddled with wells except well was like back then because we used to make fun of "like" using girls and as a result became them. I need to eat. Excuse me.
