New Year's Eve and it's hard to believe
another zodiac has gone around.

While you drank yourself high on hoping
and watched the ceiling spin from the ground.

Counting down from ten it's time
to make your annual prayer.

Secret santa in the sky
when will I get my share?

Then you tell yourself
what you want to hear.

Cause you have to believe.

This will be my year.

This will be my year...Semisonic

I am a very supportive and loyal girl.

That said and not knowing who's reading this or where you are or what your hopes and aspirations are...a friend of mine from work was in a 24 hour film competition. Basically you were assigned a "genre" and you had to make a film. That film was submitted and it either got you into the finals or not. Then everyone who was in the finals got 24 hours to complete a film (again the topic assigned yet it was done on site)...you had to complete it from soup to nuts, soundtrack, edits, etc...so my friend and his crew came in THIRD in the final competition. After competing against some very talented people.

How supportive and loyal am I??? I once went to the furthest reaches of the East Side to see another one of his films screen. In fact I went alone ('cause everyone bowed out)...and I had to run because the subway was all screwed up and there was no station near the screening room (mind you I am not a girl who runs)...and I was in heels and well they shredded my ankles. But I don't want a metal. No I just want every one of my friends with a vision and a desire to be appreciated for their art and to succeed.

Note to readers...mind you I am also not a girl driven by lust or desire of said man merely supportive. So I think it's pretty neat.

Anyway, Black Eight, the piece that got them into the finals, was accepted into the "ARLENE'S GROCERY PICTURE SHOW." This festival runs downtown from Friday, April 23rd to Monday, April 26th.
Black Eight will be screening at Earth Matters (177 Ludlow b/t Houston & Stanton) on Saturday, April 24th.
Screening time - 6 PM.

And on another loyal beat...I use a IBM laptop and my husband is a Windows Certified Professional and well this is the sort of thing that we talk about on occasion.

Kiss kiss.

I LOVE TO RIGHT CLICK AND APPLE WOULD DENY ME THAT LOVE.
