Argh, "That Song" is now a Modtone. #1779. Need I say ARGH again? Ugh.

In other Fountains of Wayne news...today while driving to Target I got all caught up in the nice weather and pleasingly brisk traffic pattern that I totally missed the exit. I ended up getting off at the Rutgers exit in order to turn around. Then I started feeling guilty for not buying tickets to the Thursday, April 22 show (the venues like 20 minutes from the my house)...I started to consider purchasing tickets. Thinking how I'd have to rush out of the city and convince Gilly to go and pick me up at the trainstation...the wheels were turning very quickly...We saw them there in 1999...bad sound happy band...

Then I realized that would be against my "coming to terms with my cogdom" goal for 2004. Though I mentioned the date in the car on the way to dinner and Gilly asked why I wasn't going and I said, "I thought you wanted to encourage me cutting down on my Fountains of Wayne consumption." and he told me that I should go if I wanted to.

So anyway I hop on line to check out what's doing and notice that the date has mysteriously disappeared from their site! After a few misleading googles (apparently the local papers haven't picked this up)...I end up on Ticketmaster and guess what?

Tickets purchased at Rutgers must be returned to the Livingston Student Center with your name and address printed on the back

IT'S CANCELED.

Hmmmmm, karma again yes? I'll have to make an inquiry to my Little Fountains of Wayne Friend to see what he's heard.
