Little Squaw: Where a good girl goes to rant.
Long time no Squaw. Thursday, March 25, 2004Gilly has suggested that I should shout out to the person who appears to be reading from New Zealand. HI THERE!I can only hope that this is not the same person from New Zealand who stole my AMEX number a few years ago and started buying massive amounts of prepaid phone cards. URGH. That was not so much fun. When you think about it, I've had a car stolen, a credit card number, a credit card and now a coat. I am officially the "girl you know who..." as in, "Yeah, I know this girl who...INSERT DRAMA." That's me. Hola. The girl on TechTV's Screen Savers (Sarah?) is wearing her hair in two pigtails which strangely enough makes her look like one of the kangaroo hybrids in Tank Girl. Very odd. I forgot to mention that while I was in DC I got to meet my mother-in-laws "boyfriend." Apparently Brian Lamb as in the one of the guys who founded C-Span and the host of Booknotes...well he was one of the moderators there. Plus C-Span had put copies of his new book in the official conference bags which was something that excited me because I was going to give it to Gil's mom. Well when I found out he was there I had to get his autograph. I told him where I work and while she hates my channel she loves the fact that sometime I come in contact with his. I also told him that she thinks that he's a "hunk." To be honest he was kind of dry, but he was polite and he personalized my book for her. YAY!!! I am going to give it to her on Easter. I can honestly say that this will certainly lock me in as the official "favorite daughter-in-law" if not the favorite out of Gilly, his brother and his brother's wife. I was already told that I was her favorite based on me being the only who ever responds to her inquiries. I know it's sad. But I am ever so competitive. The train ride to the City of Brotherly Love was traumatic of sorts...no seats to sit next to Loki and I got stuck next to a "chatter." It must have been the tight sweater and the fishnets peeking out from my pointy toed witchy shoes...Loki was stuck to a Middle Eastern man talking about "following or knowing his heart" I forget. We spent a greater portion of the trip messaging each other from two feet away. Tomorrow is Friday, hurrah. I have to give a small presentation and I am not prepared so I am going to go to bed now. Because that will help yes? Maybe not. If you're in New Zealand, what's the weather like and do they like Fountains of Wayne there? posted by JustKeepMum on 10:30 PM | ||
