So yesterday I was in a meeting regarding one of our major 2004 priorities and I mention, "And what were Hall and Oats doing on Dick Clark's New Year's Eve show? Is it 1984 or 2004?"

And the head of creative says, "Well they have a new album out you know."

And I was like, "But still they were singing old stuff."

And then he says, "Well you know someday that will be Fountains of Wayne and the kids will be saying, 'What is this Stacy's Mom song?'"

To which I responded, "I don't think so. They'll give up before then. I don't think Chris has it in him."

Now in retrospect, maybe Fountains of Wayne or at least Chris and Adam would find that sort of thing so funny and stupid that they would do it but I seriously doubt it. I guess I'll need to wait 20 years to find out if I am right or not.

But more importantly, he thinks that I was young enough not to know Hall and Oats? I doubt it, but a girl can dream...
