New Year's Eve and it's hard to believe
another zodiac has gone around.

While you drank yourself high on hoping
and watched the ceiling spin from the ground.

Counting down from ten it's time
to make your annual prayer.

Secret santa in the sky
when will I get my share?

Then you tell yourself
what you want to hear.

Cause you have to believe.

This will be my year.

This will be my year...Semisonic

Long time no Squaw.

Not much on the squaw front today. Woke up this morning to sleet and slush. I felt happy that I had closed toed heels to wear to Swifty's christening.

Puttering around the house and calling Gert to confirm that we still needed to be there at 12PM and not earlier due to bad weather, I set about cleaning my engagement ring and wedding band and I find another diamond missing from the band. ANOTHER? You say? This is the third time this has happened. Third or fourth, I've lost track. 11 diamonds and one fell out. The first thing I do when I get home is take my jewelry off so I don't have any idea what might have happened. This is my second band and yet it's my first marriage. Figure that one out.

It's a battle I am bound to continue to lose. That's why I have my "alternate" band which makes me look all modern and such. Diamonds are for now. My love for Gilly is forever. I do however, everso love my bling. It's acually helped me mature and continue to realize that object are objects and there are things that I can't worry about or control.

Flooding on the parkway. A big ass puddle in front of Gert and G-Love's house which lead Gill to drive me up to the door and drop me off. Rain. Rain. Rain.

I brought Gert the traditional "mother of the baby muppet pelt scarf." I guess you have to be there to understand.

The Christening was lovely. The church had some very beautiful stained glass. We were actually allowed up on the altar and such during the dipping of the babe. Swifty was the cutest baby and most well behaved. He's such a wiggle worm! All gurgle and wiggle.

After we got home we shoveled the front drive and now we're exhausted. I can barely keep my eyes open.

So very boring yes?
