New Year's Eve and it's hard to believe
another zodiac has gone around.

While you drank yourself high on hoping
and watched the ceiling spin from the ground.

Counting down from ten it's time
to make your annual prayer.

Secret santa in the sky
when will I get my share?

Then you tell yourself
what you want to hear.

Cause you have to believe.

This will be my year.

This will be my year...Semisonic

I am very very very tired...having stood three (3) hours in the dining room wrapping Christmas presents at the table. Either I wrap very slow or we didn't cut back as much as we said we would this year. Plus I have a thing about people getting anything wrapped in the same wrapping paper twice so the whole process involves a lot of switching things around. One more day of wrapping (presents for Gilly and my co-workers) and I'll be done. Thank goodness.

How boring am I?

Oh boy oh boy...we went to go see The Lord of the Rings @ 10:30AM for an 11AM show. Well as of 10:45AM the box office still hadn't opened and we realized it was going to be packed. So we bailed. Gilly's going to come home early one day this week and we're going to go see it then.

As a result we got a lot of misc. house/party shopping done.

We had to buy some more hootch for the party...
One (1) tin of mulling spices
One (1) liter of Grey Goose Vodka
One (1) liter of Kahlua
One (1) liter of Bailey's Irish Cream
One (1) liter Woodbridge Merlot
One (1) case of Yuengling
One (1) case of Corona
Two (2) bottles of Domaine St. Michelle Brut
Two (2) bottles of Domaine St. Michelle Blush/Rose

Hootch is expensive! Plus buying without the intent to just drink it to get drunk makes me feel like a grownup. And having a fully stocked bar feels so posh. Tee hee. Then again we've no place to keep the bottles and they are currently residing in a box under the basement stairs. Though one of my great-great uncle was a bootlegger so hiding booze is probably a skill I come by naturally. But again and on the other hand my great grandfather was a detective who broke up that sort of thing (though he told his brother he didn't want to catch him so he'd better lay low). Much like Liz Phair I am very conflicted. Sigh...

I have some posts in waiting but I don't know if I'm going to throw them up here. They may be too personal and such. Though they'd certainly make an interesting read. I am sure.

Gilly's watching Discovery Wings and I am practically swooning as a result. Ooooh, air ships!
